Welcome to Heathmont GP

Heathmont General Practice was established in 2013. Each of the GPs who practice at HGP are independent and experienced doctors who are committed to providing quality health care for you and your family. We take pride in practising honest, evidence-based medicine with professionalism and compassion. The doctors have chosen General Practice as their specialty and are passionate in delivering healthcare in the Primary Care Setting. All the doctors are Fellows of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), and have had extensive experience providing medical care in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Our support staff is trained to ensure your visit with us runs smoothly.

Heathmont General Practice first achieved accreditation by Australian General Practice Accreditation Ltd. (AGPAL) in 2013. In October 2016, August 2019 and again in July 2023, we have consistently achieved excellent standards and were successfully re-accredited by AGPAL. Achieving and maintaining this independent, nationally recognised level of standards set by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) confirms our commitment to maintaining quality health care and patient safety.

Our practice is eHealth ready and our doctors are trained to assist you in creating and updating your My Health Record (MyHR).

From 9/10/2023, we are adding SMS results notification to our exisiting SMS appointment confirmation system. We hope this will make receiving your results easier and review appointments can be made in a more timely manner. Please let our reception or your doctor know if you’re having any issues or concerns, and please make sure your mobile number is updated with our front desk!

From Monday 6th March 2023, we have relaxed our rules for masks!

  1. Masks are no longer mandatory unless you have respiratory symptoms.
  2. If you have respiratory symptoms, we are happy to see you in a mask! It’s not mandatory but it is sometimes helpful if you’ve already self tested with the flu/RSV/Covid RAT test.  We would appreciate if you could wait in your car or outside, to minimise the spread of illness in the waiting room.
  3. You are welcome to wear a mask if it makes you more comfortable.  If you would like your doctor to wear a mask please let our receptionist know and we will greet you wearing one!
  4. Telehealth appointments are available for patients wishing to speak with their doctor in regards to their medical concerns. Please be aware that a face to face appointment may still be needed as telehealth limits our doctors’ ability to examine and deal with certain conditions.

Thank you very much for your help and cooperation in the past years to keep us all safe!
